Engines and Mechanical:

Engines/Mechanical Engine was removed for major service in 2017 that included injectors cleaned, starter replaced, fresh water pump replaced, heat exchange inspected and cleaned, damper plate replaced, oil cooler serviced, and other hoses and items replaced as required. Transmission was serviced and inspected, seals replaced, and components found to be in excellent condition. Engine currently has approximately 3,600-3,800 hours.

This engine provides a cruising speed of 7 knots (28,000 rpm) and 1.4 GPH for a range of 450 nautical miles.  At 6 knots (22,000 rpm ) she will burn 1 GPH  for a range of 540 nautical miles.

Spare parts include spare alternator, belts, fresh water pump, fresh water pump impeller, Balmar regulator.

Owner has had all work performed by Brewer Pilots Point Marina (Westbrook, CT)  including inside winter storage.

Equipment and maintenance have been continuously performed

Major upgrades from original design include:

• Installation of Yanmar 4JH2-THE 76 hp replacing Perkins 4-108
• Redesign of engine exhaust route reducing back head pressure and eliminating back flow risk
• Addition of inner forestay to carry heavy weather working jib and storm jib
• Addition of secondary Lewmar winches on bronze mounts that match primaries.
• Spinnaker pole stores on mast
• House batteries moved from engine room to below cabin sole increasing capacity and moving weight lower
• In 1998 all standing rigging was replaced.
