HIGHLY REGARDED CRUISING VESSEL FOR UP TO THREE COUPLES AND/OR WELL KNOWN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH VESSEL ON THE GULF OF MAINE

PRICE REDUCED BY $110,000

Vessel was freshly painted for 2018 season and awaits new adventures and research expeditions.  Please call us for your inspection.

ALCA i is one extraordinary vessel. The vessel was designed and built to serve as an oceanographic laboratory for the builder's (also owner and operator) research in sub-arctic waters. The vessel has been extremely well built and is very well suited to its intended purpose. This is the 9th vessel the owner has owned and operated for his marine research, and the attention to design and detail is the culmination of many years of knowledge and experience (every system has a backup). Well-suited and easily converted to long-range cruising for one to three couples. In addition to being built in accordance with the standards of ABYC, NFP A and applicable USCG requirements for recreational vessels, certain details of construction and equipment installations (for example fuel tanks and watertight bulkheads) have been carried out in conformance with USCG "T Boat" requirements, as covered in 46USC Part 175 and subsequently, to enhance possible future use of the vessel as a Coast Guard inspected small passenger vessel, or could easily be converted as a private Motorsailer with a three cabin, two head layout.  NOTE: WOODEN BOAT ARTICLE & ALSO OWNER'S DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

The Grand banks 52 Europa was introduced in 1988 and DA TIKI MON is a 2000 vessel, hull # 17. These vessels are salty and elegant, and are geared to serious long-range cruising or living aboard. With their semi-displacement hull, her Twin Cat 420 hp diesels provide cruising speeds of 14 knots, if desired. Her three cabin, two head layout provides comfortable accommodations and her main salon, dinette and generous-sized cockpit, with overhang protection, are perfect for socializing. She also has a stand up engine room with easy access to all systems, and a molded staircase to a huge flybridge. DA TIKI MON has had only two owners. Her first owner cruised the East Coast and Great Lakes. Her present owner purchased her in 2013 and has cruised her from Florida to Maine. He has lived aboard summers in Maine for the last several seasons. DA TIKI MON shows very well and we shall be pleased to get you aboard. Thank you for your interest.

OCEAN RANGER is one of the handsome Classic-looking 50' Fantail 50 Pilothouse trawlers with a flying bridge built by Transworld Custom Yachts in Taiwan in 1989. Only nine Fantail 50's were ever built and only two built with a flying bridge. Her present owners purchased her in April 2007 and are believed to be her third owners. Since 2007, her knowledgeable and diligent owners have made numerous improvements and upgrades as described in her detailed listing description. Please review carefully. This trawler makes the ideal liveaboard with elegant, commodious accommodations for 4-6 people in two staterooms and two heads; a main salon which is as spacious as most living rooms, a covered aft deck, and a bright and functional pilothouse. OCEAN RANGER has a single 135 hp Perkins with approximately 5600 hours. These engines are designed to go easily 10,000 hours, and only burn 2.5 gph at 6-7 knots. Fuel efficiency is the important feature, and with the 8 hp Sidepower Bow Thruster and Naiad stabilizers, OCEAN RANGER is very maneuverable and seaworthy. Other features include a "come home" engine, an 8kw generator, 3 zone air conditioning, reverse cycle heat, full complement of electronics, and new maroon canvas. The addition of her flying bridge makes her more desirable than other sisterships due to better visibility and more outdoor living space. Please call to make an appointment to view this Fantail trawler; we think you will be impressed. Thank you for your interest.

NEW PRICE FOR  FALL SALE. COME AND VIEW HER. SHE IS A SHOW PIECE!

SAYONARA was built to exceedingly high standards in 1956 by Paul Luke's Yard in East Boothbay, Maine and designed by the renowned designer, K. Aage Nielsen of Denmark. These two highly regarded firms provide no finer pedigree. SAYONARA has had only 5 owners in her 70 years. Her present owners purchased her in 1976 and have lovingly and carefully maintained her to first class condition. Being knowledgeable longtime members of the Ocean Cruising Club and CCA, their stated goal was to be the best "stewards" of this lovely Classic, ensuring that her structure was kept in "Bristol" condition and her equipment was in top working order. With the outstanding care and expert help of Rockport Marine, they have achieved their goal. SAYONARA is considered the "Queen" of the Rockport Marine's fleet.

SAYONARA is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but she has proven to be offshore capable, sea kindly, fast in "around the buoy" races, and a comfortable cruising vessel for six, having been as far North as Cape Breton Island and as far South as the Bahamas, as well as offshore to Bermuda. For once, it is rare to find a vessel that deserves these superlatives. SAYONARA has been rigged to be sailed by two, with an electric roller furling mainsail and electric winches.

Please call us to inspect this outstanding classic. You will not be disappointed, and thank you for your interest.

ZOOMAR is a handsome 1988 48’ Albin North Sea Trawler, built to high standards in Taiwan. ZOOMAR is Hull #9 and is believed to be the last one built of this design and the only one with the galley down. With her Ray Hunt “V” bottom, she handles seas very well. Her teak interior is very attractive and her spacious two cabin layout with two heads makes her an ideal “two couples” or family cruising vessel. She is offered at a very attractive price for a prompt sale due to her owner downsizing. Thank you for your interest.

An exceptional Hodgdon-built Offshore Cruiser with the finest Maine pedigree. Also, most importantly, this vessel has had the same caring, knowledgeable owner since 1971 and only the third owner since she was built in 1946. THE FOUR KNOTTS has always been in fresh water. In 2000, new twin Cummins diesels were installed, and she was completely rewired with new circuit breaker panels. Maintained in true Bristol fashion.

This Alden 44 has led a charmed life under just three loving owners.  For virtually all that time she has been seasonally cruised in Maine but has made several cruises to the Bahamas, and an extended cruise to Chesapeake Bay where she was stored for the winter, and entered three Marion Bermuda races, once winning her class.

A quick review of substantive maintenance and upgrades since 2000-2017 follows: 1. Entire interior given 2 coats of varnish, all new interior cushions & upholstery, Espar diesel cabin heat system rebuilt, new Seafrost refrigeration, new batteries, new Main & Jib, new Harken electric winch for mainsheet & halyard, new Dutchman flaking system, new bimini, new solar panel system, new Maxi prop, new stereo, new Garmin radar and plotters, new autopilot, new Iridium Sat. Phone, backstay adjuster rebuilt, new Inverter, new main halyard and jib sheets, exterior brightwork stripped and refinished, and much more.

The Alden 44 has been routinely extolled by various commentators, an article in Cruising World in 1997 defined her as being one of the best sea boats available having "a particularly pleasant motion under way and being a very good sailor for any genre that will sail to her rating".  From Jack Horner, an N. A. who has written for Spin Sheet, Boat U.S. etc. defines the Alden 44 as "One of the most beautiful yachts ever built" and "Although the Alden 44 is a centerboard model it is quite weatherly even with the board raised, and her excellent sailing qualities are well documented by numerous bluewater passages and many circumnavigations."

SEA HAWK has had only two owners in her 35 years. Her present owner purchased her in 1992 and being an engineer, he has made numerous improvements to her hull and fittings, and therefore her sailing performance (see Hull & Deck description above), bringing home numerous cups and silver under a PHRF handicap rule - Whalers Race, Round The Bay Race, Hurricane Cup & Edgartown Yacht Club Around The Island Race. One never thinks of a 44' Gulfstar Center Cockpit Sloop as being capable of winning PHRF races, but this is a testament to her owner's ability. SEA HAWK is quite obviously, well suited as a comfortable liveaboard as well, with an abundance of storage lockers, in three separate cabins and two heads with showers. For anyone who is looking for a combination of speed and livable space, SEA HAWK is worthy of your highest consideration. She is offered at a very attractive asking price for her size and equipment. Although she has been on the hard, covered, for the past 3 seasons, she has been looked after by her caring owner and can be easily and quickly launched. Please call us for your inspection of this impressive vessel and thank you for your interest.

ACADIA is one of 13 or 14 Alden Caravelle 42' yawls built in Hundested Denmark by the renowned Poul E. Molich yard. These hulls were constructed by Halmatic Ltd in England and shipped to Denmark to be finished as the Danish craftsmanship and quality of the teak, mahogany and finishwork was unsurpassed at that time. Due to the heavy solid fiberglass hull and decks, these classics are now highly sought after by "collectors" of fine yachts. They hold their value much the same way the Hinckley yachts do; however, it is well-known that the Alden Caravelles have a better sailing performance due to their long keel versus the keel-centerboard found on the Hinckley Bermuda 40's. Many Caravelles raced successfully under the CCA rule in Marblehead to Halifax and Newport to Bermuda races. ACADIA shows extremely well as she has benefited from an extensive refit in 2003 and 2004. This included a new engine, extensive rewiring, Awlgrip paint of hull and deck, new Dynel housetop, Awlgrip paint on her spars, new Ulmer sails and Harken roller furling, new cushions covers, new stove, autopilot and Radar-GPS-Plotter, new running rigging, and much more. She is presently on the hard in Boothbay as her owners are living in Switzerland now. She is a "work of art" and a pleasure to show for those looking to own "One of the Prettiest Vessels" in the harbor.

BEQUIA SUITE is a handsome, teak planked 42´ S&S Motorsailer with ketch rig, inside and outside steering, and an aft cabin. She is an ideal liveaboard/passagemaker and in fact has been cruised to the Bahamas for many winters. Her layout is well-suited for 2 couples offering two staterooms with two heads, a bright pilothouse salon, and spacious galley and dinette opposite. The present owners, who are very knowledgeable, have carefully maintained and upgraded BEQUIA SUITE. We have two recent surveys done by a top NE professional marine surveyor - one in 2012 and one in 2016 - which are available to serious buyers. Comments by the surveyor indicate the vessel was very well built using very resilient tropical hardwoods of superior quality, and has dedicated owners who are diligent in maintaining this handsome, well-built Sparkman & Stephen's vessel. We thank you for your interest and shall be pleased to arrange for an inspection of this highly desirable motorsailer.

She also has one of the most attractive interiors with her varnished teak joinerwork. This is a lovely sailing vessel which is easily handled by two, or equally suited for a family. SECRET STORY is a unique 40' Hinckley Bermuda 40 MK III Yawl, which has only had two owners since she was built. She has received exceptional care since her launch in 1979 and is one of the best examples this office has ever seen. During the winter of 2016, a major undertaking was performed by Strout's Point Wharf in South Freeport, ME. The conversion was made to add all new Garmin electronics including Chart Plotter, Radar, sailing instruments, depth, speed, VHF & AIS system. Fiberglass work was done to accommodate the consolidation and upgrade to the sailing instruments, and the entire cockpit was carefully painted with Awlgrip. A wireless network was installed and an Ipad can now be used at the navigation station as a fully functional remote/repeater. A ProMariner battery charger and inverter system was installed making all outlets live when required. All batteries were replaced. The alternators and starter motor were proactively rebuilt. The heat exchanger and oil cooler were replaced as were the engine driven and 12V refrigeration systems. The Espar diesel heater was rebuilt by the factory, and the boat was varnished inside and out with maintenance coats. Once the well thought out refit was complete, the owners launched the boat in April 2016, and spent six months cruising Maine, Grand Manan, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island without any concerns.

Other improvements are as follows; the custom made, 316 stainless water tanks and plastic holding tank are all new and lightly used only for one season. The main and mizzen masts have Tides Marine Strong Track and Batt Cars and the spinnaker has been treated with Sailkote, all for ease of hoisting and lowering sails. The sit down Nav station, divided chain locker, raised teak cockpit grate allowing the helmsman to see over the like-new dodger and oversized winches were all original upgrades. All the life lines are new. The interior fabrics and foams are all like new. There are no "boat" odors in the boat, never have been.

One can honestly say that most all systems have either been renewed, replaced or upgraded and all well thought out and in good taste. In short, the Bermuda 40 has set the standard as the Best "Modern Classic" cruising sailboat available today and SECRET STORY, showing superb care, proves that premise. Please come and inspect this first-class vessel. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for your interest.

OWNER ANXIOUS FOR SALE

JUNE 2017 SURVEY AVAILABLE

MAMBO is a 40' centerboard yawl designed by Ted Hood in 1958 and built in Japan in 1960 known as a Tor 40. She was a successful participant in the Bermuda and Halifax races in her day. She has recently undergone an extensive structural restoration by Traditional Boats in Unity, Maine. She is a well-designed, well-built boat, and an excellent sailing vessel. Recent work performed includes a new galley with propane system and range oven, all new bronze portlights, new canvas and cushions throughout, and a new dodger. Her Westerbeke 46 diesel was removed and completely serviced which included a new transmission, and is in very good condition. Her hull is double planked with a diagonal teak inner layer and a mahogany outer carvel layer. Her centerboard is solid bronze. Her masts are aluminum, her booms are spruce. Her cabin and all of her deck joinery are solid teak, her hardware with the exception of her railings and lifeline stanchions, is bronze.

This is a superb "Classic" yawl which turns heads in every harbor and is offered now at an outstanding value, due to Seller relocating. We highly recommend your inspection. Thank you for your interest.

LARA, Concordia Yawl #48 was built in Germany by Abeking and Rasmussen in 1957. She underwent a year-and-a-half-long major refit and modernization at Maine Traditional Boat in 2014-2015. During that time, was re-built from her bottom (all new keel bolts and 17 new floor timbers, numerous new sister frames, frame ends and bottom planks and a new rudder) to her masthead (all new stainless-steel standing rigging and LED lighting). She has all new plumbing (including a pressure water system) and wiring, both 12-volt and 110-volt (adding shore-power capability with inverter/charger) and LED lighting throughout. She has all new electronics (including autopilot, digital color radar and sonar, digital charts, and depth and speed indicators) all tied together with an MFD in a custom-built control module at the steering station. She has been completely refurbished below decks with particular emphasis on the galley (major components: new countertop, new 12-volt top-loading refrigerator-freezer, new gimbaled 2-burner alcohol stove, new stainless steel sink and fixtures) and head (major components: new countertop with three-drawer, one-door vanity beneath, new stainless steel wash bowl and fixtures, and new toilet). Hatches and skylights were newly water-sealed and new screens installed throughout. For entertainment, there is a 28-inch flat-screen smart TV with Blue Ray-DVD player and a four-speaker AM-FM-Satellite Sony stereo system with CD player. There are all new settees with movable backrests for seating/sleeping in the saloon, and a new double berth in the forward stateroom. New upholstery throughout. At the same time, Lara also got new ground tackle with 240 feet of nylon brait and chain, a new 42-pound Delta anchor, a new electric windlass and a custom bronze bow roller. She has since been sailed out of Belfast, ME, on Penobscot Bay, Down East to Lubec, ME, and down coast to Sandy Hook, NJ, and back. She was re-powered in August of 2016 with a new Yanmar diesel engine. Lara is fitted with a new Feather Stream three-blade feathering prop and comes with a customized eight-foot Puffin dinghy. As a result of her thorough refit, Lara is one of the "youngest" Concordias in the fleet. A clean 2015 survey by Paul Haley is available.

NEW, LARGER ENGINE WITH LOW HOURS AND ELECTRIC WINDLASS!!

CYNARA II is one of the popular Bristol 38.8 K/CB Sloops, from the drawing board of Ted Hood. These vessels are known as fast cruisers, capable of racing around the buoys or equally at home sailing offshore. They are ideally suited for the shallow waters of Florida, the Bahamas or Cape Cod. The interior joinery in CYNARA II is exquisite satin varnished teak, not the darker mahogany found on sisterships. The cabin layout includes a spacious U-shaped galley, sit-down Nav station and separate shower area. CYNARA II has had only two owners, the present owners purchased her in 1990 and have enjoyed sailing her from VA to Canada. They have continually upgraded her as needed under their stewardship, including installing a larger Yanmar engine in 2007. Please note all their improvements. CYNARA II is completely ready to continue cruising the Maine Coast and beyond under new ownership. Please call us for your inspection of this high quality, well-founded vessel. Thank you for your interest.

PANASEA is a 38' C&C Landfall Sloop which has had many recent upgrades, making her a more attractive three cabin performance family cruiser than her competition on the market. The Landfall 38 is a direct descendent of the old C&C 38', the hull was modified to provide fuller sections forward, a longer, shoaler keel, a raked transom (not reverse transom), and longer deck house for increased interior volume. The Landfall is 2000 lbs heavier with a slightly shorter, easy-to-handle rig with Navtec rod rigging set inboard for better sheeting angle, thereby offering a stiff and well-balanced fast cruiser with a PHRF rating of 120. This makes her a more responsive cruiser than her nearest competitor, the Tartan 37, which has a 126 PHRF rating. The interior layout with her teak varnished finish is one of the best in the business. PANASEA has more teak cabinets and interior trim than some of her sisterships.

Please note recent upgrades since 2014 when the present owner purchased PANASEA are as follows: soda blasted and epoxied, and barrier coated bottom, refinished brightwork, new Maxwell windlass, new awning, new Isotherm hot water heater, new holding tank and fuel tank, new steering cables, new 110V air conditioning, new battery charger, new alternator and AGM battery, new Autopilot &  Garmin Radar-GPS, new TV and Wifi antenna, new VHF, new Awlgripped mast and boom, new Dutchman for main, new running rigging, S/S rod rigging (not headstay) recently inspected, and rebuilt head and new hose and much, much more.

We believe PANASEA is in very good condition and makes an ideal family racer-cruiser. Please call us for your inspection and thank you for your interest.

CAJETAN is a higher spec 38' C&C Landfall Sloop, that is truly loved… and it shows in the quality of parts and her continual upgrades. Even sitting on the mooring, she radiates an elegance prompting compliments and questions from other launch passengers. Her upgrades and general condition make her a more attractive, turn-key, three cabin performance family cruiser, than her competition on the market.

The Landfall 38 was a boat that was ahead of her time, developed from a racing hull that was modified to provide fuller sections forward, a longer, shoaler keel, a raked transom (not reverse transom) and longer deck house for increased interior volume. The Landfall has Navtec rod rigging set inboard for a better sheeting angle, resulting in a stiff, well-balanced and fast cruiser with a PHRF rating of 120. She’s a more responsive sailor than her nearest competitor, the Tartan 37, which has a 126 PHRF rating. Her teak-varnished finish is one of the best in the business and finding a true separate aft cabin or a head with stall shower in this class is truly unique – this Landfall has both! Please note the 2006 Yanmar engine installation, geared folding prop, modern isolated battery banks with smart charging, Lifeline AGM batteries, new head, hoses & tank, newer Raymarine Wind/Speed/Depth meters, Harken roller furler, Doyle genoa and new forward 8" memory foam berth cushions and SS Dorades. These significant improvements make her an impressive offering. Please call for your viewing of CAJETAN and thank you for your interest.

NEW LOWER PRICE FOR IMMEDIATE SALE

BETTY L's handsome Spencer Lincoln hull was built in 1991 (launched 1993) by Covey Island Boatworks in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia, and finished off by her original owners, Colin and Helen Ray, to their own specifications and needs. Colin had been a custom home builder and had previously built two sailboats. BETTY L was built with long range living aboard for two in mind, and particular attention was paid to fuel economy and seaworthiness, so Flopper Stoppers were installed and her 135 hp Ford Lehman sips fuel. The present owner purchased her in 2005 and spent one full year doing the Great Loop, and has enjoyed cruising her throughout New England and Canada. He reports that there are no known leaks and the vessel is extremely stable underway leaving little wake behind. Her interior layout is practical, very attractive and clean, and due to her composite construction, she is quiet, and dry below with no mold or dampness. There are numerous storage lockers throughout, and plenty of tankage to be self sufficient over a long period of time.
BETTY L has had only two owners in her 22 years, and both have been caring and knowledgeable. As a Testament to this, BETTY L has won numerous "Bristol" awards in the Canadian Maritimes and several complimentary articles were written about the boat in Points East and Wooden Boat Magazine (issue 120 in 1994). BETTY L shows very well and she is ready for new ownership and new horizons. Please call us is you wish to get aboard and thank you for your interest.

YANKEE SPIRIT is a 36'/38' Northern Bay Hardtop Cruiser custom finished in 1999 to the highest standards by J.S. Sharpe Boatworks in Brunswick, ME. This is one of the finest examples of a 36' Hardtop Downeast Cruiser this office has seen. She was designed and conceived by knowledgeable sailors who wanted to make the switch to a handsome power cruiser. After a long search visiting all the "Downeast" builders, they settled on Joe Sharpe who was known for his honest, quality work and ability to deliver exactly what the customer desires.

Both builder and original owners designed the ideal, two person layout with all solid cherry, raised paneled interior, teak and holly sole, roomy queen berth forward, a down galley which still allows the cook to feel a part of the salon action, and an extended wheelhouse which includes comfortable seating port and starboard for the helmsman and companion, a side door for easy side deck access, and an L-shaped settee to port which converts to a double and single settee to starboard.

The vessel is powered with a 430 hp Volvo TAMD 73P diesel with Twin Disc 2:1 reduction gear. She turns a 5 bladed prop and easily cruises at 14 knots with a maximum speed of 16-17 knots. Her engine hours are approximately 1066  hours as reported on engine hour meter. Her engine room is very well insulated with the most complete Sounddown package including Sounddown's coupler disc for no-vibration running. Extras include a Wesmar Bow thruster, a new awlgripped Dark Green hull in 2001 when the hull was extended 2' more to aft end of swim platform. She has a comfortable cockpit with a built-in transom seat, a transom door, cetoled exterior teak, a 1 1/4" S/S safety rail from cockpit to bow, 2 zone air conditioning and heat, 6 kw Northern Lights generator in soundshield, a 2500 watt Heart inverter, and much more. Her sliding doors and windows were built in England by Trend Marine and are the finest quality windows we have seen. Her owners have been caught in 6´- 8´ seas and 30-40 knot winds and reported that YANKEE SPIRIT provided a very comfortable ride despite the weather conditions. With the additional 2´ added to her hull, she tends to handle very well, run smooth and a little flatter. Please call today for a personal inspection on this unique, exceptional vessel.

IMAGINE is an outstanding example of the Sabre 386 sloop, the most recent sailboat design by the renowned yacht designers and master builders at Sabre Yachts. Named the "best domestic cruising boat" in Cruising World's 2005 Boat of the Year contest among new boats, the 386 offers exceptional quality, performance, comfort, and beauty. Imagine is one of the last hulls built, and has been lightly used (less than 400 hours on the engine) and beautifully maintained. She features high end navigation system, autopilot, and other electronics. She performs and handles beautifully, easily sailed by two people. Brightwork and upholstery are in tip top condition and the boat is immaculate throughout. Once you see IMAGINE, you will appreciate her exceptional quality and condition. We look forward to getting you aboard.

This Shannon 38 Ketch has had only three owners. Designed and built for offshore cruising, these fine vessels are easily handled by two, and are well known for their high quality of construction. In 2007-2008, SOOLOO was returned to the Shannon Boat Company for a total refit and restoration of all her systems. This work included removal and rebedding of all toerails, rubrails, new undersole plywood beneath the cabin soles, new batteries, and much more. When completed, Shannon Boat Company signed a “Remanufactured to New” Certificate. SOOLOO shows well and is now ready for your viewing. Please call us for your inspection of SOOLOO.

Canna is fine example of a Shannon 38 Ketch and has proven coastal cruising experience with her current owners. With her solid fiberglass hull, beautiful teak interior, brass port lights, expansive salon, full galley, full head and sleeping accommodations for six she is ready for cruising - with or without guests. She was repowered in 2004 with a Westerbeke 44B Four diesel engine. Her sails are in good condition.

Her white fiberglass hull is accented with a blue boot stripe. All exterior teak is naturally weathered.

Owner is motivated to sell.

OWNER'S COMMENTS: A living piece of art with a storied provenance, PHOENIX was built in Old Saybrook along the CT River in 1966 at the peak of wooden boat craftsmanship. She was designed by Winthrop "Wink" Warner and built by Seth Persson. Initially she was to be named Hexerie until fire destroyed Seth's boatyard. Townspeople backed Seth, who employed and mentored local young men, and a new boatyard was built. Phoenix was the first boat built after the fire (see Wooden Boat, Jan/Feb 2011. Number 218. p62. "Seth Perrson" by Caryn B. Davis). Early on she was a charter boat in the Caribbean and according to a brochure visited the Virgin Islands, Grenada, St. Martins, Martinique as well as the Bahamas and many others. In the 80's she was soloed across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean twice. She's a sturdy, Cutter rigged boat with 5/4 Honduran mahogany on steamed white oak frames 12" oc. In the 90's she cruised the islands of Penobscot Bay and after that, she's been knocking around southern New England primarily Narragansett Bay and Block Island. She's a thrill to sail and hits her stride on a broad reach. With an 8000 lb lead keel she is in the water rather than on it and gives a steady, ship like ride. She is also a real "eye catcher". She receives many compliments in every harbor she frequents.

BROKER'S COMMENTS: PHOENIX is a "classic" full-keel Cutter with an impressive pedigree, designed by Winthrop "Wink" Warner and built by the renowned Seth Persson in 1966, best-known as the builder of Carlton Mitchell's famous FINISTERRE. She is an outstanding example of American craftsmanship and seaworthiness, a previous owner having made two Trans Atlantic crossings. Two surveys are available upon request; done in 2013 and 2017. Please call us to inspect this very well maintained cutter, which has been lovingly cared for by her present owner of 10 years. Thank you for your interest.

SIRIUS is a handsome 36' Jarvis Newman Flybridge Cruiser finished to very high standards by Lee Wilbur & Company. Her present owner purchased her in 2006, and reports that she handles like some of the tankers that he has piloted into Portland Harbor for the last 25 years - in other words, she needs NO bow thruster, and is steady, able and true, and easy to maneuver due to her large rudder. He likes that she is heavy compared to the composite, modern vessels built today. This means she is extremely seaworthy and comfortable. Please review her photos and listing and call us for your inspection. Her 210 hp Cat diesel has been completely reliable and has just over 2000 hours. Thank you for your interest.

PRICE REDUCED AGAIN....

SAFARI is one of the most handsome Custom-built Downeast Cruisers by John Williams this office has seen. Known as a Stanley 36 Flybridge Cruiser, she is powered with a 320 hp Cat, cruising easily and economically at 12 knots, offering a seaworthy, comfortable ride due to her built-down hull with a long keel and oversized rudder. Her interior accommodations for four are finished in exquisite mahogany joinery.

An extensive refit was completed over a two year period from 2010-2012, effectively rebuilding or replacing almost every system in this vessel, making her one of the finest Downeast vessels to be offered for sale. In 2014-2015, she was not launched, but was kept in a heated storage facility. Presently for the 2016 season, she has just been launched, fully commissioned and is now ready for a new owner, as the Seller has purchased a Motorsailer. SAFARI is an outstanding vessel which will not disappoint the most discriminating buyer. She is immaculately-kept by her fastidious and knowledgeable Seller. She really is a "10" on a 1-10 scale, and it is rare for this office to see a vessel of this caliber.

Please come and inspect this unique offering and thank you for your interest.
